Q&A With Georgie
How important is it to stay connected in our new virtual world?
“I think for all of us, this period has made us realise how much we value our relationships – our family and our friends.
I don’t think we will ever take a hug or a kiss for granted again – and truly, this has reminded me that in life, the simple things really are the most precious. So many of us find happiness in material things, but I think this time has made so many of us realise that what brings us happiness is not ‘stuff’, it’s our relationships.
I miss the face to face contact with loved ones, but at the same time, feel very grateful to have my little family with me – we’re taking care of each other.
We have moments of driving each other utterly insane (hello husband!) but also lovely moments where my heart feels like it could explode.”

Q&A With Abbey Way
How do you take care?
Learning to wind down has been a bit of a journey for me. Usually I’m always on the go with back to back jobs and put a fair bit of pressure on myself to achieve or be working towards some sort of goal... which leaves you pretty burnt out. So at the start of the year, I decided to try actively taking time out for myself to do things I enjoy. These had to be things that I couldn’t measure with levels of success, just activities that made me happy and relaxed.
Reading has been a huge help, as well as walking, podcasts, sitting quietly with a face mask and just being in the moment. I think it’s so important we are kinder to ourselves and make these little rituals a part of life for our overall health and wellbeing. It may seem simple but like anything, it takes practice.
