Rated 3 out of 5 by Ann1eM from Expensive when it wears off so quickly This is my second attempt at review: I am concerned that I have posted a 3* review for the velvet lip product I recently purchased and it has not been shown on line. My comments were very relevant to the product and were roughly as follows: I was so pleased with my Velvet Rosewood Lip Perfector when it first arrived. The colour was exactly what I had been looking for. It felt luxurious on application and wonderfully light. There the positives end sadly. I need to constantly re-apply as the colour just doesn't hold. I have started putting three times as much on and this helps a little but I am almost half way through the tube and I have only had it a couple of days! It is a ridiculously expensive item if it is only going to last for a couple of weeks. It has also made me realise that items such as Lipstick are probably better bought on the high street.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this color!!! Not only is the color insanely gorgeous but, as other reviewers have noted, the quality of the product is beyond reproach! It is soft, creamy, moisturizing, classic, perfection! My only complaint is I wish CLARINS made the Velvet Lip Perfector in more colors! Bravo!

Unfortunately I ordered the rosewood shade and its not at all as it looks on the virtual try on. The shade looks old fashioned and doesn't suit me at all. I would love to try another shade but at the price it's not really viable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bex4 from Smooth and nourishing This really does what it says. Goes on smoothly and stays on. Its bizarre as it's really nourishing and silky yet goes on like a powder! I love the easy sponge applicator. Its lovely to wear. I don't wear makeup generally. But add a lip colour every now and then. Usually a tint in a balm. This was an experiment and so glad I bought it. I'm looking to go for darker colours in it now as I trailed the nude colour. Which is so beautifully subtle but clearly defined the lips. Great buy
