The power of plants

Originating from the Asian rainforests (China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam), it was in the 6th century that the Chinese domesticated tea. Under the Tang dynasty in China, (618-907), a more popular use of tea developed, becoming a refined ritual of daily life. Matcha tea became the drink of the Japanese elite: the Emperor and top government officials, along with the Samurai, drank matcha tea before combat.
