When to apply treatment essence?

After cleansing your face with makeup remover and cleanser, you then tone and balance your skin pH with a toner, like Purifying Toning Lotion if you have combination and oily skin. Next, use your chosen essence. The best way to apply is to take a few drops and warm them in your hand. Then, tap lightly across the face, from the centre outwards to the top of the neck.

Is skin essence the same as toner?

No, essence and toner are not the same. The main purpose of a toner is to remove remaining dirt and oil after cleansing and balance the skin's pH level. Face essence nourishes and hydrates the skin.

Do you apply essence or moisturiser first?

The right order is essence first, then moisturiser (in both serum and cream texture). Facial essence is typically lightweight. It is heavier than toners but not as concentrated as moisturisers. Even with serum, you must also apply a serum after your treatment essence.
