All of our formulas meet the stringent requirements that extend beyond our regulatory obligations and environmental standards. Our ingredients must be completely safe, our formulas are rigorously tested and our products are monitored at every stage.

Each Clarins formula is subject to more than 250 checks during its production.

Many substances have been banned from our skincare products to ensure that we use the safest ingredients on your skin.

Your first requirement

For over 70 years, Clarins formulas have been highly acclaimed for their effectiveness. Our laboratories combine the best of nature and science to develop treatments with visible, measurable and undeniable results. Proven effective by numerous tests and approved by thousands of people.

We carry out up to 900 tests on the effectiveness of each of our products.

It takes at least 18 months to develop a new formula.

We believe that looking after yourself is as important as taking care of your skin. We are constantly exploring new ways to enhance the sensoriality of our products: exquisite textures, intoxicating fragrances, unique comfort... Clarins products are designed to make each application a true moment of well-being.

Clarins Green Score: measure to progress

All our raw materials are screened by Clarins Green Score before being used in our products.

This measuring device allows us to accurately assess the environmental, social and health impact of our ingredients across a range of criteria. Each formula is then given an overall score, by adding up the scores of the substances in the formula.

The aim?
To select the best combination of ingredients to develop treatments that are safe and effective, but also kind to people and nature.

Caring and animal-free beauty

If you love nature, protecting animals is a must.

Clarins eradicated all animal testing many years ago in favour of the latest alternative methods. We guarantee high quality products, designed and manufactured in accordance with animal welfare.

However, some countries require animal testing, which they carry out themselves, to ensure the safety of cosmetic products. We are obliged to comply, but we are working closely with these authorities to stop these practices.
